Rachel + Gus

Spring weddings often have an air about them that is swoon-worthy. They are light and easy, the weather still crisp but with promises of warmth to come. The birds are out and the gardens are coming back to life - slowly, but surely.

Rachel and Gus getting married at the Mansion at Woodward Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma on a spring day just simply made sense. Their wedding was full of joyful tears, sweet moments between their treasured families, a combining of cultures and a celebration of what is to come in their marriage.

Their story is a classic friendship turned romance that people dream of - and the foundation of friendship was seen so clearly in their love and their ease with each other.

This classic and elegant wedding was beautiful mix of timeless and colorful, a black tie affair that felt like a garden party. After saying I do and having first dances in the atrium, Rachel changed into a traditional Chinese wedding party and the couple did a Chinese tea party for their parents to celebrate two becoming one. And then - they ate, they danced, and they celebrated so. well.

All wedding days are a joy to be apart of, but I left this one feeling especially honored to witness and document the simple yet profound joys of a marriage meant to be.

Enjoy xx
